recruitment materials

I've said this before, but now, really, if you wanna join up, please, please please read this book. Then pass it on to all your friends.

I'm also adding the Baptist Joint Committee to the links. They fight for separation of Church and State. Yeah, they're Baptists. Separation of Church and State made it into our constitution because Baptists insisted. REAL Baptists care more about that than almost any other single thing.

Okay. Back with more ASAP.

Great book. Read it based on your glowing recommendation. Am wondering if, in your list of things-to-write, you might consider putting a group study guide together? I'd be interested in helping with that. I think study/discussion groups around this book, particularly for those of us who are not academics, would be a great way to help galvanize our efforts with sound reasoning and very well-developed examples.

Just an idea.

rock on! the baptist joint committee so rarely gets the shout outs it deserves. i grew up in a *real* baptist church, the kind that removed itself from the southern baptist convention when it was clearly becoming an evil organization and has a woman minister and a gay head of deacons. the destruction of the inviolate line between church and state may be the saddest and most destructive thing to come of this election.
